Kale, broccoli…..and zinnias!

Hello everyone,

Where I alluded to this idea in my last newsletter, it took a few days (and several enquiries!) to get my head around just how this might work. Like everyone at the moment, I’ve been racking my brains about how to keep things afloat whilst also adhering to physical distancing restrictions. Where a fortnight ago I couldn’t even contemplate this concept, there seems to be a little loosening of the rules around what we’re now allowed to do; and so….I’m delighted to invite you to join me for your very own PRIVATE DAYin the KITCHEN GARDEN….for one, two…or three people…hopefully more soon – afterall they do take place outside and it isn’t difficult to keep a good distance from each other.

I ran the first of these days last Friday, with a previous guest who was keen to jump on the concept with a couple of family members. The day was chilly and while they did enjoy lunch inside in front of the fire, we were still spaced well apart (you can see the early morning set-up on insta here…but sadly I rarely get to take more pics on any event day because I’m too absorbed in the actual moment…as I should be!). The lovely thing was, I was able to devote all of my attention to just them.
The days are very relaxed (for guests anyway!)…filled with information, food, garden tastings and the sharing of precious seed.

I’d be so thrilled to see you here. With such an emphasis this year in particular on growing your own produce; the time is just right to learn all you can about seasonal veg, organic principles and setting up a system to ensure some level of self sufficiency should we find ourselves in this predicament again. It’s my hope that many of you will make the decision to grow your own produce well into the future.

You can find all the details and the booking form here. Please just contact me in advance to select a date.  The gift certificate also now reflects this ‘private day in the kitchen garden’…to which an extra person can easily be added.

If it seems a bit confusing, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  I’ll hatch a plan as best I can to come up with a solution for a day you’d like to enjoy.

In the meantime I hope this finds you well, with access to fresh air and a way to make the most of these glorious sun-filled autumn days.

Very best wishes as always,

Mickey
