It’s quite a novelty for me to produce an edible apple! I sometimes wonder why I bother at all….the birds almost always get them before I have a chance to get the nets on (my figs take priority I’m afraid!). So you can imagine my excitement at having FOUR Granny Smiths, with more to come! The other more exciting varieties haven’t fared so well in the heat but I’m just delighted with this handful of simple green apples…
