To be honest, this really was not the year of the raspberry (at Glenmore anyway….). While spring was very hot and very dry at the optimum time for berries, the late summer and autumn proved to bring many a humid, overcast day. Until now that is! Although late in the season, the few berries we have are plump and sweet, and to be savoured just one at a time (preferably plucked & popped, straight from the canes – after all, there really aren’t enough to warrant making it as far as a plate). And warmed as they are in glorious autumn sunshine, they are pure heaven…
