Hanging like Christmas baubles….I wonder how long I can keep them going this year – June is my record!.

The wet weather has been a challenge, with irregular watering causing fruit to split, leaves to yellow & attract fungal disease. But time spent removing all that unattractive foliage & damaged fruit will allow air to circulate once again and there’s good growth ahead yet.  In fact, some of the best tomatoes of the season are on the way – steadily I watch those fat ox-hearts grow. In the meantime, we have colanders full of tommy toes & black cherries….

We just need a few days of golden sunshine…
