Really do have the most extraordinary growth habit. And yes, I know the photograph is upside down…for some reason, I took it this way (it seemed amusing at the time….then the light faded and I was determined to eat them with last night’s roast chicken, so this is the only image I have!). To be honest, I’ve never had much luck growing Brussels Sprouts. We do such battle here with the white cabbage moth and our hot days last well into autumn, so getting them established is a bit of a trick. But my goodness they were worth the perseverance….delectable little green balls and so much more delicious than even bought organic ones! I’ll just have to try extra hard next year….
