Some of you have expressed concern at the fact that your tomatoes are green….well, so are mine! Please be patient: although some lucky people out there have popped their tomatoes into precisely the right micro climate and are enjoying the first of their harvest, WE always think it simply amazing if we have a red tomato for Christmas.
It won’t be long before these Purple Russians, Black Cherries, Tommy Toes, San Marzanos, Costolutos and the rest show a pink blush…
that will deepen by the day to a deep red. Then we’ll be biting into a glut of sun-ripened tomatoes….
