The heat (while knocking out some of the most fragile spring flowers) has brought on some glorious early summer blooms.  

I delight in this delicately scented Crinum pedunculatum which grows outside our bedroom windows and lends a tropical air of romance.  Although planted quite commonly around Sydney, it always reminds me of the garden at Bronte House, where I first became so enamoured with it’s spidery form.

I’m now enjoying this beautiful specimen on our bathroom cabinet – heaven…
