Last week, amidst the sheer chaos of preparation for the plant fair and a very large garden visit, I had the great joy of having the opportunity once again, to be one of a panel of judges of the District Exhibits at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
I’m so glad that the decision is based on a series of criteria, and that as a judge, it isn’t up to me alone to say who ought to win this annual competition. Great skill is involved in creating a design, conveying a theme and pulling together each District’s finest produce.
And each exhibit is of an exceptional standard.
A sense of ‘battling the elements’, as well as community, hard work, huge effort and reward are all on display in this wonderful series of exhibits from very clever and passionate folk from the bush.
So give yourself a great treat and visit the Sydney Royal Easter Show in the coming Easter week. It’s quite a show!
