EVENT: THE LAND GARDENERS, FRIDAY 03 November (fully subscribed…please contact Mickey to join the waitlist…)
About The Land Gardeners www.thelandgardeners.com
Henrietta Courtauld and Bridget Elworthy established The Land Gardeners to research plant and soil health through growing, cutting and designing.
The mission of The Land Gardeners is to work with gardeners and farmers to improve the health of our land – creating beautiful, healthy plants, gardens, and farms brimming with biodiversity and life – all founded on healthy soil.
They design productive gardens – wild, romantic and joyful – and restore walled and historic gardens in England, France, Italy, New Zealand and Zimbabwe. They grow organic English cut flowers and also run workshops, exploring healthy plants, healthy soil and biodiverse, living gardens.
Soil to Table
Soil to Table is a celebration of soil and its connection to the food we eat. This sumptuous book is a beautiful collection of essays, recipes and teachings on soil and food, guiding as to how we can put these at the centre of our lives. The Land Gardeners share their wisdom on how to care for our soil, chef Lulu Cox shares favourite recipes for cooking simple, honest food that brings people together and paintings by British figurative painter Nancy Cadogan reflect our relationship with nature, food and the landscape around us. The book is a visual feast; bringing together farmers and growers who care for the land…it’s a celebration of them and the wonder of the soil that lies beneath our feet.
