I thought it really too much for anyone’s good diet to enjoy cake at morning tea when baking cakes was the agenda for the day….with the inevitable result of many cakes on hand for afternoon tea! And so the figs presented themselves as a totally scrummy (as well as responsible!) alternative….
6 women, 6 cakes: 2 kinds of apple, one rhubarb….
sticky ginger syrup cake, chestnut flour, rosemary, raisin & pinenut; and orange….
At the end of the day, warm, greaseproof paper-wrapped chunks off cake set of home with enthusiastic participants to family and friends in big brown paper bags…
What a day!
I do have another scheduled Baking Cakes day in August (I need a few months to get over this one!). I’d love to see you here….it’s FUN!
