How I love rockpools!  Each one a complete world unto itself….I like to think of them as gardens by the sea.  I so enjoy the muted, tawny colours of the various weeds and shells and no two pools are ever alike.

Perfectly clear, still waters expose a sumptuous vision of intricate colour and texture…
while incredible creatures lurk just beneath the surface…
and beached weed awaits the return of the tide.
I can’t ever decide which I like best:  the swirling waters of the rocky outcrop at beach’s end…
the shallow, frothy, playful waters that criss-cross and leap over each other, making delightful patterns on the sand that are so much fun to splash through on long walks….
or the waves that come in at a roaring pace through which we can dive and play.  I delight in the thrill of it all and hope you’ve had the opportunity to take a few days at the beach too.
