Inspiration for….but not the one we used at Friday’s Seasonal Cooking.  At over a year old, (very sadly), this jap is about to disintegrate, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to cut it up! It was my favourite from last year’s harvest (it’s stalk in real life is marvellous), and this year’s are only just beginning to reach their full potential.  We opted to bring in a butternut for yesterday’s soup, and though freshly minted, it was delicious!
