The first of the lovage and last of the peas……make a velvety green, intoxicating soup….

It’s a new recipe – well, I’ve been sitting on it for over a year, but the lovely chef at the Dean Street Hotel in London was kind enough to part with it when I asked after a late Sunday evening supper with L.  It was a pure green velvet heaven. I’ve sat on the recipe for so long because its rare here that the peas and lovage meet in season.  But I really am daft because you can make it with frozen peas anytime – I can be quite stubborn!  (That’s probably putting it mildly….).
