HERBAL GARDEN late autumn/early winter

Herbal tisanes from the garden…

Hello everyone,

How delighted I am to invite you to join me and ANTHIA KOULLOUROS for our LATE AUTUMN/EARLY WINTER HERBAL GARDEN & SEASONAL EATING FOR HEALTH event on SATURDAY 21 MAY. And how timely!

As winter looms, we all need to keep our health top of mind; and I can’t think of a more gentle, informative and enlightening opportunity to absorb a wealth of nutrient-dense knowledge (alongside nutrient-dense nourishment) in a single day!

I can say this with absolute confidence because by now, Anthia has shared her vast knowledge on health and nutrition here at Glemmore, with a focus on herbs, fruit and veg from the garden (so ingredients we can all source very easily) on so many occasions. Each time we run one these days I take away some new little morsel of brilliance; one of those ‘why didn’t I know this before’ pieces of vital information that tumble from Anthia’s lips with surety. I enjoy Anthia’s days here so much; and continue to encourage you to join us because her approach has nothing to do with trend, but is based on sound inter-generational knowledge alongside her long-term naturapathic, clinic-based experience. (Whilst I’m not a client, we’ve developed a bond of friendship over the years…my own approach to health is based on nothing out of the ordinary…just good old common sense; all things in moderation, discipline, good old fashioned exercise (mostly gardening) alongside a belief in consuming local, seasonal, organic produce (preferably my own from the garden) as best I can.

Oh but the little things I’ve incorporated into my own routine from Anthia’s days over the years! And especially those herbal garden tisanes that are such a cinch to make (and which most workshop participants seem to favour these days over other brews on offer).

On the day, we’ll begin with a garden ramble, pausing to discuss a vast array of plants that contain some medicinal value and to chat about how you might incorporate them into your diet. At this particular workshop, there will be an emphasis on boosting our immune systems for the winter season ahead. On return to the Dairy you will consolidate that information with Anthia before lunch and then…spend the afternoon making all kinds of concoctions to bottle and pop into packets to take home! What fun!

You can find further information and the booking details here and if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Anthia and I will very much hope to see you here, for a winter-warming day packed full of information delicious food and fun.

With very best wishes as always,

Mickey
