About to be published…Jade’s second book Huddle…
Hello everyone
How excited I am to invite you to join JADE MILES here on SUNDAY 18 MAY, by way of marking her about-to-be-published (and doubtless celebrated) second book HUDDLE.
Following the enormous success of her previous book Futuresteading which took Jade on speaking engagements across the globe, she’s been huddled down…doing all the things she does best – family, food, farming, growing, nourishing…and building community by sharing her wisdom, as much by her pen as in real life.
HUDDLE…takes us beyond ‘futuresteading’ (a term coined by Jade to represent the very whole way of life she leads by example); by further exploring universal principles of connection…to place, and to each other. Just as the word ‘futuresteading’ became a term in its own right…so too does the word huddling seem right for our times. I don’t think Jade’s book could come along at a better moment, given the tumult our world is currently faces. Friends, food, community…really are all that matter.
Some of you will remember when Jade was here a few years ago, that we accompanied her conversation with afternoon tea; but this time we’re going to begin with an informal, seasonal, Huddle-inspired brunch in the Hayshed. Beginning at 11.00am, we’ll assuage your mid-morning hunger pangs with something scrumptious before you settle into the Dairy to listen to Jade. May is a positively glorious month in the garden here, and following Jade’s inspiring talk (that it will be.…I can guarantee) allow time to have Jade sign a book or two (one for you and truly? one or two to gift methinks) from the stack she will bring along with her on the day. There will be a little cup of something nourishing, seasonal and warm, to send you on your way, though you will be very welcome to linger longer in the garden.
How Jade and I hope you will join us for a truly inspiring morning of nourishment, on many levels. All the details and booking form are here. If you have any questions, do please get in touch.
We’ll look forward to huddling down with you on that (hopefully fine, though matters not should it be otherwise!) golden, autumn morn!
With warmest wishes,
Mickey
