This season, the great raspberry haul has simply gone on…and on….and on….not a glut as such (I’m certainly not making jam), but they are simply the best we’ve ever had!  For a couple of weeks I was filling a small ramekin dish each day, then one of those larger ones – like a small souffle dish;  ’til one day I couldn’t cram any more in and I had to run up to the kitchen for a BOWL!  Now I’m back to a ramekin dish every couple of days, but some of the berries are even DOUBLES!  They’re so fat & plump & sweet!!  
Have I mentioned before that there’s a very, very subtle change in colour when they’re at their most delicious?  It would simply never be possible to have the same experience from shop-bought fruit. The scent alone is enough to transport you….to raspberry heaven!
