I’m so sorry for lack of posts last week…..it seemed to be rather chaotic…..hopefully I’ll make up for it this week!
Friday’s Kitchen Gardening was a lovely day with a terrific group of participants. On the spur of the moment, (as seed saving was a bit of a hot topic), I thought it would be fun to scatter seed straight from the poppy pods on top of the bread before popping it into the oven – very yummy result and so much fun shaking the seed directly from dried poppy heads in the garden!

On Thursday evening I had a little dig around my experimental ‘early’ potato planting out of curiosity, and unearthed a mound of baby spring potatoes. We enjoyed these at lunch on Friday too, tossed with mint and nasturtium petals – what a treat!

All set for lunch in the loggia…..
