How I love a perfect lettuce! I hardly dare say it for fear of jinxing them, but right now, there are 4 perfect rows! And it won’t last, even if something else doesn’t get them – WE will, because they’re there for the eating, and we’re about to demolish them!
It can be difficult to establish hearting lettuce at this time of the year, because really they don’t like the heat. I’ve just sown 3 more rows and woven seedlings through the guild beds. Once again….I’m gardening on a wing and a prayer….
