Well – the Sapphire & King Edward potatoes are all scrubbed in preparation for tomorrow’s Windsor & Jewels Day!  There are JUST enough King Edwards left….(how pretty are they with their blotchy pink markings?).

Peter Clinch from Oaks Organic Chickens delivered beaut plump chooks yesterday afternoon & they’re roasting in the oven with bay, parsley & thyme, in readiness for my ‘Not Quite Coronation’ Chicken!!

Which leaves the Sorrel Soup (sorrel picked & washed), Sticky Ginger Syrup Cake & Cumquat Ice Cream to make, with pomegranates, figs & delicate leaves to pick in the morning….

All good fun and SO looking forward to Robb Gardener’s talk – hopefully I’ll have everything done in time to sit & listen…
