Although the beach is long and complete with rolling, foaming, frothy waves (and accompanying thunderous roar as they race up golden sands), this is far and away my absolute favourite view, at the beach.
It wouldn’t be the week at the beach without a small patch of grass to de-sand feet and dry wet cozzies in the sun, ready for the next dip and frolic in the waves.
Fortunately there were a couple of dud days, allowing me to enjoy one of my most important January jobs….ripping tear-sheets from my favourite magazine. It’s been a January job for almost 30 years!
But no matter how much I crave those pretty waves dancing on the shore, filling my lungs with sea-salt air and playing in crystal clear waters….
Nothing beats returning home to a veg garden gone mad!
There’s work to do, but before I settle in, I send a big thank you to The Design Files who have Georgina Reid’s lovely article about us featured today. Thank you George, aka The Planthunter : here’s to thepower of connection. And to Daniel Shipp for his fab images and with whom I’m hoping to work on a little collaboration….!
