It was to be a spring flower workshop…
Hello everyone,
Yes…it was originally to be an early spring flower workshop…but we all know what happened to that idea! In the intervening lockdown months, we rescheduled several times in hope…
And so it is that I am delighted to invite you to our much anticipated early SUMMER FLOWER WORKSHOP with JARDINE HANSEN on SATURDAY 04 DECEMBER…phew! Although some of our original participants were able to go with the flow and commit to the new date, sadly others have had to pull out, so we have just a few places left with which to tempt you.
We’ve honestly never held one of these glorious days here so late in the year (so I have no relevant image!) and I can’t wait to see what seasonal beauties Jardine unloads into the Dairy bright and early that morning…when she sets up a veritable private flower shop from where you can choose each stem to add to your burgeoning arrangement!
How I love these flower workshops with Jardine (and it’s been many moons since the last). Along with morning tea, the day will begin with a conversation on flowers, after which your breathtaking morning of play will unfold under Jardine’s gentle coaxing and tutelage.
A seasonal lunch will punctuate the day, after which we’ll take a garden ramble, picking and collecting as we go, in the time honoured way of a country gardener. We’ll take the bounty we gather back to the Loggia, where Jardine will create one of her delicate, romantic arrangements…spilling her tips and encouragement as she goes.
Of course, you will take your own arrangement home (after home made ice cream and a visit to the Barn!). All in all, it will be a very spoiling day…where you can lose yourself in the dreaminess of it all. At that time of year there will certainly be more than a hint of celebratory anticipation in the air…along with early summer scent on the breeze.
All the details and the booking form are here; and Jardine and I will SO hope to see you here. It will be the final workshop at Glenmore for the year, so an extra special one. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Very best wishes,
Mickey
PS Between those who elected either to have their water posted or to collect at the designated time and date; the first batch of ORANGE BLOSSOM WATER has all gone! However…I’m happy to release #2 (made just a couple of days after #1 was captured), along with #2 of ROSE GERANIUM either to post, or for you to collect: either at the Flower Workshop, the Perfume/Candle Workshop or between 11am and 1pm on Friday 26 or Saturday 27 November. You can find the details to place an order here.
