Well – here is the very first image of the Essential Work Dress!

And the second!

I’ve been wearing the prototype (above) a LOT these last few months….and I simply love it to bits….
The Essential Work Dress has been a long time on the drawing board. Perhaps I live a rather odd-ball life, but I swing from my desk to the garden to dashing out; hanging the washing, feeding the horse, a bit of watering here, pulling a weed there, and back to the desk, the phone and chaos!
Consequently, it’s useless spending most of my day ‘dressed up’ as if off to a meeting, but the chances are, in the course of a frantic day, I will meet a range of people, and this dress allows me to switch from one task to another in comfort, as well as a bit of style!
It has good deep pockets (great for keys, or seeds), a simple placket & buttons at the back to allow for 3 sizes of expansion – (I still love it when loose), darling little side pleats & beautifully finished cuffs. You can layer up underneath for cooler days, and I’ve worn it in the evenings with leggings & pumps.
I’ve been longing for a denim one ever since I got the linen prototype….we’re making very short runs of different fabrics, so there will only be one or two available in each.
I look forward to seeing some of you wearing it too!!

All photos taken by my long-suffering youngest daughter on her school hols – she says it was fun, but I’m sure thrilled its done!
