What a weekend! The stand at Saturday’s Iris Country Fair was jam-packed with Essential Kit; the rain cleared up, people rolled in and a huge day was had by all. What fun to see so many familiar faces and to meet some new Kitchen Gardening friends….
A sucker for punishment, I just couldn’t help myself & zipped into Sydney on Sunday to FEAST my eyes at The Country Trader – oh what a parrrrty! No-one knows how to stage an event like Geoffrey and you’d be forgiven for thinking it was Christmas Eve in Waterloo…..
An Aladdin’s cave, I always feel like a child in a toyshop and suffer a serious bout of the ‘I WANT’s’ whenever I visit. So if you ARE doing a bit of decorating, and/or feel like a major, or minor splurge (there are fabulous ‘small goods’ too), give yourself a treat, and hot-foot it to this treasure trove of delights. (there was SO much going on, including dancing on the tables, I’ve opted to post an image of the invitation as I couldn’t possibly do the scope of fantastic sets justice….).
To finish off my little Sunday jaunt in Sydney (I began by filling my car with plants for a garden in Randwick), I caught the tail end of the Walter-G girls’ exhibition at the Barometer Gallery in Paddington. I’ve been wanting to see their fabrics and lamps in real life for several months, and they didn’t disappoint. The girls are off to India to arrange their next collection. I’m all for seeing terrific new young talent on the scene, and their bright colours & personalities didn’t disappoint.
They also do fabulous navy & white (my all time favourite) and I hope I can slip some of their designs into a job or two….
