I tend not to grow veg for their novelty value….but Linda gave me a seedling of this mad zucchini Trombonchino last spring, so I popped it in to see what it would do: well, now we know! It’s not that you can’t eat them, but I suspect small is best, so we’ll let this one continue on its merry way and I’ll start harvesting the babies to eat.
Like so many of this summer’s veg that struggled in the hot, dry spring, the cucurbits have taken off in the wet and they’re rampaging through the garden like monsters from a fairytale. Good monsters though!
