FESTIVE WISHES from GLENMORE HOUSE

Hydrangeas fill my heart at this time of year…

Hello everyone,

I’d intended to send a full end of year wrap, but how the last weeks, months…have raced to the finish line…bountiful…in people, produce, flowers and food…conversation, knowledge and energy.

All of this is so at odds with both global and local disharmony, which to be honest, have me feeling bewildered and dismayed at how humanity can be so cruel…when access to immeasurable beauty and abundance can multiply across the world when nurture, compassion and love are employed.

We are so very lucky in this land to be able to celebrate a festive season in peace…and  I wish you time for reflection, thought and restoration as we all head into our traditional summer lull…the season that lures us to both sun and shade…to family, friends and quiet, and if chance permits, to dip our toes or even to fling our entire bodies into foaming water…to refresh and emerge reset, clear and hopefully, with new spirit.

With a huge thank you to all our guest teachers and collaborators for sharing and inspiring; and to each and every one of you who have spent time here immersed in activity, I hope some little snippet of your visit has lodged into your every day and brings something to make you smile.

I will much look forward to seeing you all again in the new year…
