Late Summer Perfumery

Pure, sensory delight…

Hello everyone,

How excited I am to invite you to our LATE SUMMER PERFUMERY & CANDLE MASTERCLASS with CRAIG ANDRADE, aka THE REACONTEUR on SUNDAY 13 MARCH. I’ve been longing to set this date and share it with you ever since our initial workshop with Craig late last year, because…it was simply the most intoxicating day and I can’t wait to do it all over again!

Of course this time around there will be different plant material to play with…to ignite our imagination and olfactory sense. Once again we will begin the day by exploring the garden – ornamental, kitchen and field; to pick, press, sniff and contemplate…setting our olfactory system alight; then return to the Dairy with baskets of leaves, twigs and late summer flowers, for this is where categorising olfactory families begins and Craig will have you spellbound.

There will be a colourful seasonal lunch of course…a feast for the eyes and tastebuds to equal the late summer scents of the day. Then…it will be time for the candle masterclass. I can’t tell you how much fun it was to make a candle using one of Craig’s Australian botanical essential oils…and to hear him wax lyrical (sorry!) about all one ought to know about scented candles.

It really will be a day of pure intoxicating immersion. Late summer here is inclined to stretch out longer than the calendar suggests! Any likely hint of autumn may come in the form of a cool morning before daybreak, so I suggest you wear your favourite floaty clothes, and you may need to borrow one of my parasols – sometimes here it’s literally too hot to wear a hat!

All the details and the booking form are here. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Craig and I will so look forward to sharing a very beautiful, plant and scent filled day.

Very best wishes as always,

Mickey
